State run telecom PSU Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.(BSNL) has launched Internet Data Center Services at major locations across India. BSNL has set up IDCs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Cherthala, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ludhiana and Mumbai. BSNL will offer range of data center services which include collocation, managed IT, managed host and cloud based services. Co-location refers to co-locating customer server or hardware at a BSNL’s Data Center and paying for rental charges for Bandwidth, racks space and climate control. BSNL has Tier III uptime certified Datacentres with 99.982% guranteed uptime.
BSNL’s data centers will help enterprises in managing servers, storage, security, database, backup and DR, capacity planning, facilities management, service desk operations and remote infrastructure management. BSNL data center’s managed hosting solutions have extensive range of services to host and manage infrastructure and application through royal banquet of hosting solutions. They will offer Cloud Services that will include central computing and data storage IT infrastructure accessible through public internet and by dedicated or shared or virtual model.
