Alliance between BSNL, MTNL, C-DOT and ITI

An alliance between Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam limited (MTNL), C-DOT and ITI is in process and has been put on the fast track. Alliance aimed at creating a telecoms ecosystem, where C-DoT will oversee product development, ITI will facilitate system integration and produce telecom gear, which will be purchased and used by BSNL and MTNL. A panel is readying to unveil a potential roadmap for the same. The panel is expected to chalk out a multi-pronged strategy. It is believed that this panel will be assisted by another internal departmental committee, comprising senior executives of member companies.
