Samsung Launches Galaxy Note for Rs 34,990 in India


Galaxy Note marks the creation of a new category of smart devices
Samsung, India's leading mobile handset brand today launched Samsung Galaxy Note, which is touted to be a flagship product in a unique product category between the smartphones and tablets. The Note comes with a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display and a Smart Pen feature that lets you create unique content using handwriting technology. This is further supported with a number of applications like S Memo, S Planner etc, that allow the user to get the most out of the technology using a Simple Interface.
The Galaxy Note's MRP is pegged at Rs 34,990 and the first 1,00,000 buyers will be given a free foldable cover. The Galaxy Note runs on Android 2.3 operating system and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Dual Core processor.  It comes with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. When asked whether it will be a cross platform device since Samsung suppports Bada and Windows Phone operating system too, Ranjit Yadav, country head, Samsung Mobile and IT, didnt rule out the possibility of a similar offering on different OSes in the future.
